Are We Lied To By Government and Media? Is There Any Doubt?
In American it is becoming common knowledge that both Democrat and Republican political parties are using government and Corp-PR agencies constantly to plant news articles within US Media as though it were legitimate news releases. Corporate Conglomerates with political agenda literally deluge the American citizen with outright propaganda designed as misleading lies. Many today believe that to even the most condescending mind, these stories reek as blatant lies, breaking not only Federal Laws, but show absolute moral corruption. Today Americans are beginning to ask themselves, do we need be led using propaganda, using major media so blatantly that no one can be sure what is true, or what is lie.
This is a valid concern, today it is estimated that 5-6 Corporations now own and control 70% of US Media outlets. Activist in 2005 stopped Michael Powell who is the FCC Chairman (Colin Powells son) from changing FCC regulations that would have allowed selling off US Communications to these Mega-Corp's. Citizens raised such a fuss with their Congressman over this issue, that Congress stepped in and over-ruled the FCC Chairman plans. Unfortunately, Americas leaders have become so jaded it is expected by many citizens that in the near future this deal will go down secretly and despite overwhelming negative public input.
In early 2002 France balked at the heavy handed actions of the Bush-Administration, this was regarding the removal of the UN Weapons Inspectors from Iraq and the pre-emptive attack. Immediately after the US Media began a propaganda attack against France, every major Media outlet in America began circulating and repeating the same stories. Among the most blatant slander was that France provided Iraqi leaders with passports just before the invasion, that illegal warplane repair-equipment was sold to Iraq, and many others besides cylinders for production of nuclear-grade uranium being sold. Our State Department representative Richard Boucher after complaint by the French diplomat admitted these charges were baseless according to our government records. However it was obvious to many that the Bush administration was involved; also worth mentioning is that no attempt was made by the Democrat leadership to refute these stories.
Regarding Saddam Hussein and the WMD that began the pre-emptive war against Iraq, it is now accuratley understood that during the period of years beginning (1980s-1990s), almost every nation who could sold WMD-materials to Iraq. Documents now prove that previous to these sales, actions were taken by the US government early in 1980's removing Iraq from "Terrorist Supporting Nation" listing that enabled afterward the legal sale of "WMD-Materials" to Iraq. It was early in 1982 that without consulting Congress, the Reagan Administration removed Iraq from this list, thereby enabling (all Western and Eastern nations) to legally sell "WMD-Materials" to Iraq.
The Reagan Administration made this new Iraq-ally official by sending Donald Rumsfeld to shake Saddams hand. The alliance had actually began secretly with Iraq in 1979 when Saddam was secretly helped to take over the Iraq government. Saddam being our asset became evident when in 1980 the decades of border disputes or skirmishes between Iraq and Iran officially and immediately became a full blown war. Iran had become our enemy when the Shah still head of State left for Western cancer cure, dying in Egypt of cancer in 1980, and the Int'l-Oil-Cartel also lossing control of Iranian oil-fields.
This media blitz today ties in directly with charges Bush himself made that aluminum-cylinders sold to Iraq were for nuclear enrichment, despite nuclear experts who advised that dimensions of cylinders were wrong size to have worked with uranium-enrichment equipment Iraq once had. The nuclear facility in Iraq had been successfully destroyed in separate air bombing attacks first by Iran in 1980, and again in by Israel later in 1981. After this it would have been impossible for Iraq to begin developing Nuclear weapons. The Niger Uranium purchase by Iraq disproved approximately 1-year prior to Bush reporting them to Congress as part of his proof regarding WMD factories and stockpiles.
Bush charged that evidence not only existed, but Rumsfeld in an ABC interview described essentially the precise locations of both WMD stockpiles and factories involved. Factories being referred to were refurbished factories and laboratories that had produced and replenished vast quantities of WMD, and that Iraq now had many tons of Bio/Chem weapons. The 2-vans Bush charged as part of this evidence now proven to be European items sold and used for filling balloons with gas. Bush also described many missiles, drone airplanes, and at least two dozen Scud missiles, admitted after the Iraq invasion by Rumsfeld before a Congressional inquiry, that none todate has yet been found. Bush-Administration made many other charges, describing essentially the exact locations in Iraq where these WMD (and) Factories could be found.
It is my understanding that there are laws against US Government Agencies or Offices using US-Media for the purpose of dispensing rumor and lies to citizens, specifically in covert purpose to direct thoughts and actions of US citizens. It is altogether evident that US Media began and ceased putting out rumor against Iraq and the nation of France that could only benefit the Bush Administration, and these false charges began and ended within a precise short period virtually at the very same time. It is reported that France sent a diplomat who forced our State Dept representative Richard Boucher to admit these stories were groundless according to government records, yet refused any help in providing resolution to stop US Media from continuously recirculating obvious lies.
It worries me that US Media has become an instrument that certain powerful entities use for control. It worries me that certain "Super-Race" or "Super-Nation" Empire individuals are taking steps to correct what their twisted minds see as a problem. It worries me that past actions of these people began the very problems we now all face, whose continued actions today do not resolve the problem, but instead are used again to enrich themselves as they endanger people worldwide. It worries me that these mentally unsound people are responsible for the very problems resulting in retaliation within America and that our Covert-CIA calls "Blow Back." For this reason I am asking American citizens to begin investigating what they 'hear and read', and begin to safeguard citizen rights, the Constitution, and fading Democracy of this nation.
An example of disinformation, and how our government and media today get away with lying, is to condition the mind into a method of perception different than the rest of humanity. This would be like Condoleezza Rice announcing several times on TV before the entire nation saying "We do not engage in Torture." What she and most of the Bush Administration accomplished by this slight of hand, some call programmed intellectual dishonesty, a more accurate description is similar to the Third Reich in lying to oneself until everyone believes these lie's. This group had decided to call torture as "Severe Rendition", and if we were unaware of this new name for torture it is our own fault. Later of course they change US Law so that Severe Rendition is not torture, and by pre-dating this change of law were then able with straight face say they had not lied.

If Iraq had disarmed itself, gotten rid of its weapons of mass destruction over the past 12 years, or over the last several months since (UN Resolution) 1441 was enacted, we would not be facing the crisis that we now have before us . . . But the suggestion that we are doing this because we want to go to every country in the Middle East and rearrange all of its pieces is not correct.

[The Iraqi regime] possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons. It has given shelter and support to terrorism, and practices terror against its own people…While there are many dangers in the world, the threat from Iraq stands alone because it gathers the most serious dangers of our age in one place…The danger is already significant, and it only grows worse with time. If we know Saddam Hussein has dangerous weapons today-and we do-does it make any sense for the world to wait to confront him as he grows even stronger and develops even more dangerous weapons?…Saddam Hussein is harboring terrorists and the instruments of terror, the instruments of mass death and destruction. And he cannot be trusted. The risk is simply too great that he will use them or provide them to a terror network…America must not ignore the threat gathering against us. Facing clear evidence of our peril, we cannot wait for the final proof-the smoking gun-that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.
President George W. Bush
March 6, 2003
National Press Conference
Saddam Hussein and his weapons are a direct threat to this country, to our people, and to all free people. If the world fails to confront the threat posed by the Iraqi regime, refusing to use force, even as a last resort, free nations would assume immense and unacceptable risks. The attacks of September the 11th, 2001 showed what the enemies of America did with four airplanes. We will not wait to see what terrorists or terrorist states could do with weapons of mass destruction. We are determined to confront threats wherever they arise. I will not leave the American people at the mercy of the Iraqi dictator and his weapons…So more time, more inspectors, more process, in our judgment, is not going to affect the peace of the world.
President George W. Bush
March 17, 2003
Speech to the Nation
Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.
President George W. Bush
May 29, 2003
Interview on Polish Television
We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories. You remember when Colin Powell stood up in front of the world, and he said, Iraq has got laboratories, mobile labs to build biological weapons. They're illegal. They're against the United Nations resolutions, and we've so far discovered two. And we'll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven't found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they're wrong. We found them.
President George W. Bush
October 7, 2002

The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program. Saddam Hussein has held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, a group he calls his "nuclear mujahideen"-his nuclear holy warriors. Satellite photographs reveal that Iraq is rebuilding facilities at sites that have been part of its nuclear program in the past. Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons.
President George W. Bush
March 6, 2003
National Press Conference
Iraqi operatives continue to hide biological and chemical agents to avoid detection by inspectors. In some cases, these materials have been moved to different locations every 12 to 24 hours or placed in vehicles that are in residential neighborhoods.
Vice President Dick Cheney
August 26, 2002
Veterans Of Foreign Wars 103rd National Convention
Simply stated, there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction. There is no doubt he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies, and against us. And there is no doubt that his aggressive regional ambitions will lead him into future confrontations with his neighbors-confrontations that will involve both the weapons he has today, and the ones he will continue to develop with his oil wealth.
Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security John Bolton
November 1, 2002
Speech to the Hudson Institute
Iraq, despite U.N. sanctions, maintains an aggressive program to rebuild the infrastructure for its nuclear, chemical, biological, and missile programs. In each instance, Iraq's procurement agents are actively working to obtain both weapons-specific and dual-use materials and technologies critical to their rebuilding and expansion efforts, using front companies and whatever illicit means are at hand. We estimate that once Iraq acquires fissile material-whether from a foreign source or by securing the materials to build an indigenous fissile material capability-it could fabricate a nuclear weapon within one year. It has rebuilt its civilian chemical infrastructure and renewed production of chemical warfare agents, probably including mustard, sarin and VX. It actively maintains all key aspects of its offensive BW [biological weapons] program.
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld
January 15, 2003
Defense Department Briefing
The intelligence community of the United States of America has assessed not that they have nuclear weapons, but that they have an active, ongoing nuclear program. That's public. There's an NIE, a National Intelligence Estimate, on that. And if it weren't public, it now is. They have assessed that they have chemical and biological weapons.
National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice
January 23, 2003
"Why We Know Iraq Is Lying," The New York Times
Instead of a commitment to disarm, Iraq has a high-level political commitment to maintain and conceal its weapons, led by Saddam Hussein and his son Qusay, who controls the Special Security Organization, which runs Iraq's concealment activities…And instead of full cooperation and transparency, Iraq has filed a false declaration to the United Nations that amounts to a 12,200-page lie. For example, the declaration fails to account for or explain Iraq's efforts to get uranium from abroad…
Secretary of State Colin Powell
February 3, 2003
"We Will Not Shrink From War," The Wall Street Journal/
We will, in sum, offer a straightforward, sober and compelling demonstration that Saddam is concealing the evidence of his weapons of mass destruction, while preserving the weapons themselves…Iraq continues to conceal deadly weapons and their components, and to use denial, deception and subterfuge in order to retain them.
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld
March 30, 2003
Interview on ABC's "This Week"
The area in the south and the west and the north that coalition forces control is substantial. It happens not to be the area where weapons of mass destruction were dispersed. We know where they are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat.

White House Press Briefing
The fact of the matter is we are still in a war, and not everything about the war is yet known. But make no mistake, as I said earlier, we have high confidence that they have weapons of mass destruction. That is what this war was about and it is about. And we have high confidence it will be found.
White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer

White House Press Briefing
I'm sorry, I see what David is asking. Let me back up on that and explain the President's statement again, or the answer to it. The President's statement [during his January 2003 State of the Union address regarding Iraqi attempts to obtain uranium from an African country] was based on the predicate of the yellow cake from Niger. The President made a broad statement. So given the fact that the report on the yellow cake did not turn out to be accurate, that is reflective of the President's broader statement, David. So, yes, the President's broader statement was based and predicated on the yellow cake from Niger.
Q: So it was wrong?
FLEISCHER: That's what we've acknowledged with the information on --
Q: The President's statement at the State of the Union was incorrect?
FLEISCHER: Because it was based on the yellow cake from Niger.

"Well, of course he is.”
• White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett responding to the question “is Saddam an imminent threat to U.S. interests, either in that part of the world or to Americans right here at home?”, 1/26/03
"Saddam Hussein possesses chemical and biological weapons. Iraq poses a threat to the security of our people and to the stability of the world that is distinct from any other. It's a danger to its neighbors, to the United States, to the Middle East and to the international peace and stability. It's a danger we cannot ignore. Iraq and North Korea are both repressive dictatorships to be sure and both pose threats. But Iraq is unique. In both word and deed, Iraq has demonstrated that it is seeking the means to strike the United States and our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction."
• Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, 1/20/03
"The Iraqi regime is a threat to any American. ... Iraq is a threat, a real threat."

When did the attack on September 11 become an imminent threat? Now, transport yourself forward a year, two years or a week or a month...So the question is, when is it such an immediate threat that you must do something?"

"There's a grave threat in Iraq. There just is."
• President Bush, 10/2/02
"This man poses a much graver threat than anybody could have possibly imagined."
• President Bush, 9/26/02
"No terrorist state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world than the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq."
• Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, 9/19/02
"Some have argued that the nuclear threat from Iraq is not imminent - that Saddam is at least 5-7 years away from having nuclear weapons. I would not be so certain. And we should be just as concerned about the immediate threat from biological weapons. Iraq has these weapons."
• Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, 9/18/02
"Iraq is busy enhancing its capabilities in the field of chemical and biological agents, and they continue to pursue an aggressive nuclear weapons program. These are offensive weapons for the purpose of inflicting death on a massive scale, developed so that Saddam Hussein can hold the threat over the head of any one he chooses. What we must not do in the face of this mortal threat is to give in to wishful thinking or to willful blindness."
• Vice President Dick Cheney, 8/29/02
For those of you wondering who or what "Talon News" service is, here is a short version. Talon News Service made its first appearance shortly after the Bush Administration took Office. Just as suddenly this agency and reporter received the coveted clearance to appear at White House Press Conference's as a distinguished reporter. The reporter, Jeff Gannon was a person using an assumed name (aka James D. Guckert), who fed Bush and his cohorts soft questions, who was also one of the inner circle receiving top-secret documents and knowledge of Valerie Plame the undercover-CIA wife of Joe Williams... Willison the man who blew the whistle on Bush putting out false or forged information about Niger-Uranium sale to Iraq. Jeff Gannon (and) Talon News (connected to GOPUSA.com) disappeared apparently with his Top Secret WH-clearance after reports began surfacing about the Homo-websites belonging to this avowed Christian reporter using an assumed name. Please feel free to search the Internet for Gannon and "Talon News", or request an update from the apparent owner, GOPUSA.COM. Please look into these matters, before as I increasingly find, that US history is either completely rewritten or placed in secret vaults for eternity.
Link below is to an interesting article asking how a fake reporter (Jeff Gannon of Talon News) was given Top Secret information on Valerie Plame, an undercover CIA agent.
